List of Chaplains, St Luke's Church, Abbottabad

This is a List of Chaplains who served the Anglican Christian Parish of St. Luke's Church, Abbottabad, formerly in NWF province of British India, and now in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan,〔Now under the jurisdiction of the Church of Pakistan〕 from circa 1859 to the present time. Abbottabad town was founded in 1853 by the first colonial Deputy-Commissioner of the Hazara region , James Abbott ; and the work on the construction of St Luke's Church was completed in October 1864.〔St Luke's Church records, and early history, compiled by H Pratt, Abbottabad, 1864-65〕
Between 1853 and 1859, the local Christian population of this town depended upon the military chaplaincy of various units posted to this garrison town, but in 1859, a visiting chaplain began to visit here, from Rawalpindi or Peshawar, to perform some services and maintain records of the slowly growing Christian population of the area.〔Omer Tarin 'The Chaplains of St Luke's, Abbottabad 1859 to 1947' , in the ''Journal of the Families in British India Society'', UK, No 27, April 2012, pp 23-29〕
